What age do I gain control over my schooling in texas?

-I'm about to be 16 and I want to go to the public highschool down the road next year. Right now my mother has me in this stupid co-op school type thing. It's terrible. Like I'm getting nowhere and I am learning nothing Do I have control of schooling at age 16
