What is schooling like in Scotland?

-I currently live in the US and am moving to Scotland after my Sophomore year in high school. I will be 16 in the school year that I start in Scotland, and I was wondering about what would happen with my education. What year would I be in? What classes would I take? How would having an American education effect me? What will I learn? What exams would I have to take? What should I expect?
