Are there any exam centres in South East London?

-Have you been to any? Roughly how much does it cost?Every college or secondary school in the UK is an exam centre, and any could accept private candidates. The difficulty is that not many do, but if you ring round local ones you might find one, though you'll almost certainly be too late for this summer - the exam boards and now mostly charging triple fees and centres will have everything sorted and not want last minute entrants.

AQA publish a list of centres which have said they do take private candidates - see link - if they take candidates for AQA exams they are just as likely to take them for other subjects.

The exam boards charge about 拢30 for a GCSE, and anything from 拢11.50-拢40 for an A level paper (most are in the 拢11.50-拢18 range). However, centres add on their own admin charges, this can be anything from nothing to 拢50 an exam..I have in the South East of England (Sussex) but not South East London. Generally I've paid around 拢50 unless there has been coursework involved which pushes the costs up.

For information on South East London, your best bet would be to ask on the Yahoo Group for Home Ed Exams etc there will be someone on there I'm sure that can help you further
