Help please. Home schooled going into High school?

-Hey,

I'll be sixteen at the end of may, and I also will be going to high school in august. I am so stressing out because I am behind (I know) but how behind I dare to even discuss. I will be a sophomore, I have to take a test before hand and that will determine what grade I will be allowed to enter. I want to be in my normal grade "10th" not 9th. What do 10th graders learn, and in the 2 months and some change that I do have to study, do you think it would be possible for me to get up in my grades?

Please recommend some books I could get from the library that could help me.

I have a full GED book that I am using now, but I want to make sure that I am really learning all that I should, and not wasting my time on stuff that I won't even use. (Even though I think its good to learn things I probably won't need for right now I don't want to waste valuable time on waste when I could be learning things to make sure I am in the 10th grade this year.) Please help !This website should have everything you need to know.

Can I just say how proud I am (a random stranger) that you are going into public school! I have had several friends who have taken the leap and LOVED it (they just needed a little time, flexibility, and good friends to get through the rough patches). Don't give up-- you will do fine. Explain to the teachers what your situation is, and I think you will be surprised how willing they will be to help you. If you REALLY need help, consider calling or emailing some of the teachers in this month (as they are probably still in school mode) and see if you can meet up with them to discuss topics or questions you have. Any school in your neighborhood, or hopefully your upcoming school, should have a nice and willing teacher that could assist you.

Good luck!Dont worry high school isnt hard depending on where you live. Dont study for anything or you will become stressed out.
